   After a bit of a fail (rabbit skin glue gesso filling up the carved areas) I have had to rethink it.

 I sanded it back then tried sponging some areas out. Not the best idea as it caused some swelling in the wood. I left it overnight then tonight have been gently scraping it out. I think I may have to use some super sharp tools to try to make it crisp again. 

Hopefully all will be well.

Keto 50kg weight loss and brief history

Thought I would post a little history. I used to be martial arts instructor (South Pacific Tae Kwon do, Rhee Tae Kwon do) and right into exercise and healthy lifestyle so it was devastating to me when I got diagnosed with a couple of auto immune diseases causing great pain followed by massive weight gain. This also affected my mental health greatly. My MH has been an ongoing issue since childhood following many things that children shouldn't have to deal with but that I am not going to talk about here. PTSD, depression, anxiety, bi-polor syndrome,aggrophobia etc. All the labels. With the pain and my worsening MH, I ended up in a very bad way. Culminating in basically not leaving my bedroom for 3yrs except for dr and hospital visits. Follows by an extended stay in an acute mental health ward getting 11 ECTs (electric shock therapy). Manuscript Inspiration for 12th night Winning Entry

T'OROS ROSLIN GOSPELS Inspiration Manuscript By Lady Symonne de la Croix 27.1.20  Recently I posted of my Kingdom A&S win at 12th night in Mordonvale. Someone suggested I put up a couple of blogs about it so here goes. I wanted to try egg tempera on a rabbitskin glue gessoed box.  And I was looking for a way to incomparate it to fit with the Kingdom competition. I decided to use a Russian manuscript  (to fit the theme: Eastern Europe.  It is a beautiful and intricate image that I broke in pieces (not literally) and put on different parts of the box (front,top and sides). I found it interesting that the manuscript was still being used as a model book, 500yrs after its creation. Here is part of the information that I included in my documentation about the manuscript.
